Lighting It Up: Alliance + Heritage Team Up for Hands-On Training in Jacksonville
April 25, 2025
When it comes to landscape lighting, there’s no substitute for doing it yourself. That’s why we teamed up with Alliance Outdoor Lighting to host a hands-on install and training day. No slideshows, no sales talk, just real work in the field.
Our first stop? Jacksonville, Florida. Nicole Mosteiro from Heritage offered up her own home as the job site, and with a crew of contractors and Heritage team members on hand, we walked through a full system install from start to finish.
This is just the start of something bigger. We’ll be taking this training across the country!

Real Training. Real Install. Real Results.
About a month before installation day, Jason Thibeau from Alliance met with the homeowner (Nicole) to design the layout, sketch out fixture placement, and prep the yard with flags and wiring locations. The day before the install, he came back to pre-run some wiring and get the site ready.
On install day, contractors arrived and got the rundown: layout, product overview, install steps, and app setup. Jason walked through the design process, explained the Bluetooth system and IT2 Transformer, and broke everyone into groups. Each group, led by a Heritage rep, installed fixtures while Jason and fellow Alliance rep Renee offered support and troubleshooting.
We connected the transformer, tested each zone, ran through the Alliance control app, and walked contractors through adjusting and maintaining the system. We wrapped around 4:30 but came back after sunset to fine-tune everything and see the system in action.

What We Used (And Why It Mattered)
The install used a full lineup of Alliance Bluetooth fixtures, built for flexible control and clean installation. Products included:
🔹AOLIT2300 - Transformer
🔹AOLBTRE - Bluetooth Range Extender
🔹AOLFL50BT - Flood Light
🔹AOLBTALLYMR16 - Lamp
🔹AOLBL900BT - Bullet Light
🔹AOLAL150 - Pathlight Hat
🔹AOLALSTEM18 - Pathlight Stem
🔹AOLBTALLYG4 - Pathlight Lamp
Contractors also got a firsthand look at how Alliance’s customizable path lighting works. Instead of being locked into one height, you can choose different stem sizes (12”, 18”, or 24”) and pair them with the hat style of your choice. We used a drop-in Bluetooth lamp to show how easy it is to retrofit existing installs with app control: just swap the bulb.

Why These Trainings Are Important
This wasn’t just about lighting up a yard; it was about giving contractors tools they can use the very next day. Getting hands-on with real products, seeing the install steps, learning how to navigate the app… that’s what builds confidence.
Contractors walked away with more than just knowledge. They left with Alliance swag bags, product literature, and practical experience that helps them sell and install more effectively.
It’s also a win for our own Heritage team. The more we understand the install process, the better support we can give you on the job.

We’re Just Getting Started
Jacksonville was just the kickoff. We’re already planning more lighting training events across the country, so if you missed this one, don’t worry. We’re coming to a city near you. Stay tuned!
